The selected photo will be placed on the cover of the pillow. There is no single printing process that can be applied to all materials. The material determines which print we can use to make a beautiful print. Cotton materials are usually digitally printed, and synthetic fibers are sublimation.
The printing process alone does not guarantee the quality of the print. The resolution of the photo and the size of the image are also important. We can work with digital images, in vector format, but we can also digitize a developed photo if its size does not exceed A/4 size. Depending on the size, the photos can also be enlarged without losing quality.
Our satin covered pillows are popular, these materials are printed using the so-called sublimation technology. The sublimation process got its name from the fact that a special ink is used for printing. The ink is sublimated during printing, i.e. it changes from solid to gaseous and adheres to the textile fibers.
This type of printing requires four tools: transfer paper, ink, heat press, printer, and of course the fifth, in this case the pillow. The image is printed on transfer paper using the special ink. The transfer paper is placed on the surface of the pillow cover and both go into the heat press. In the heat press, the heat treatment takes place, i.e. the pattern is ironed on the textile. The pillowcase is decorated with a photo, and in perfect quality. The colors vibrate, the lines are sharp, the image faithfully reflects the original, and it also lasts.
The photo looks best on the light-colored, satin pillowcase. The pillow can be washed and ironed at the maximum temperature prescribed, preferably inside out to keep the photo intact.
